Recently, the 2014 European International Conference on electromagnetic compatibility (EMC europe2014) was held in Gothenburg, Sweden. 521 experts, scholars and engineers from more than 50 countries attended the meeting.
The Research Report on electromagnetic interference of wireless reception caused by installation was jointly completed by the University of Amsterdam, the University of Twente and Thales, a large multinational enterprise in the Netherlands, which has attracted widespread attention in the international photovoltaic market.
The report points out that due to the sharp increase in complaints about wireless electromagnetic interference caused by photovoltaic installation, EMC standards will be strictly implemented, and a large number of products that do not comply with EMC directives will be eliminated from the international market.
The report sampled the products of SMA, the leader of the inverter industry in Germany, omnik, a Sino German joint venture brand that accounts for 40% of the Dutch local market, and Mastervolt, the Dutch local world-renowned inverter manufacturing enterprises, for the emission interference test of DC cables. The test results show that SMA and omnik inverters perform well in anti-interference, while Mastervolt soladin 600 performs poorly.
Then, the report points out that the main reason for the difference in the above results is that although all equipment in the European market should meet the requirements of the EMC directive, some suppliers will adopt an innovative method to meet the simplest electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements, that is, the compatibility standards adopted by these suppliers do not comply with the European EMC directive (the basic requirements), and to a greater extent, they seek to maximize convenience and minimize cost.
SMA and omnik use general standards from 61000-6 series to test their equipment and DC side. The soladin 600 of Mastervolt only tests the AC side (230 V), because the DC bus is not mentioned in the Standard IEC 55022. It is precisely because the DC bus emission of photovoltaic installation is not described in the international harmonized standards that manufacturers can freely manufacture equipment according to their budget and seek “innovative” ways to market their products, regardless of the rights of radio pop users.
It is understood that electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) refers to the ability of equipment or system to operate in accordance with the requirements in its electromagnetic environment without unbearable electromagnetic disturbance to any equipment in its environment.
Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of inverter is a very important quality index. It is not only related to the working reliability and safety of the product itself, but also may affect the normal work of other equipment and systems, and is related to the protection of electromagnetic environment.
At present, although all developed countries and some developing countries in the world implement mandatory management on the EMC performance of inverters and formulate relevant EMC standards, due to the invisibility and complexity of this index, many inverter manufacturing enterprises cut corners on this link. After receiving the third-party test report through the engineering prototype, the mass production products deliberately ignore the EMC standard, so as to reduce costs.
Ohmic engineer said that ohmic inverter has made a lot of efforts to comply with EMC standards, such as the configuration of anti-interference element “magnetic ring”, which can effectively reduce the electromagnetic interference of the inverter, but the normal operation of the machine will not be affected after deletion. Ohmic always implements a realistic, pragmatic and rigorous R & D attitude, firmly adheres to industry ethics, resolutely does not cut corners on work and materials in product R & D, resolutely does not violate regulations, and ensures that the configuration of test samples is consistent with that of mass production machines, so as to ensure the unity of quality of ohmic inverter. This is also the real long-term brand value.
